Red River had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 19-1 margin over the Calvin Cougars. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eli Murphy was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Murphy was even better at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Pierce, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Porter Williamson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Red River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Red River's record now sits at 11-4-1. As for Calvin, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Red River will be playing at home against Mansfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvin, they will head out to challenge Ringgold at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
