The Berne Union Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 86-15 defeat at the hands of Harvest Prep. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Berne Union has scored all season.
Harvest Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon Roddy out in front who scored 28 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roddy has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Adonus Abrams, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Berne Union's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.7 points per game. As for Harvest Prep, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berne Union will face off against Bishop Rosecrans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Rosecrans presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Berne Union in Ohio (Bishop Rosecrans is ranked 345th, while Berne Union is ranked 811th). As for Harvest Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
