Warren and Crossett are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Lumberjacks will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Warren is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Warren will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Star City, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lumberjacks put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 9-2 victory on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Lumberjacks have beaten the Bulldogs on their field since April 11, 2019.
Brooklyne Mcvay spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.
At the plate, Raeleigh Milton was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Presley Reep, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Warren hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Crossett fell victim to Hamburg and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Lions. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Crossett also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Braelyn Campbell gave up only one earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. Campbell has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
The win got Warren back to even at 5-5. As for Crossett, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Everything went Warren's way against Crossett in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Warren made off with a 14-4 victory. Do the Lumberjacks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
