Kaleb Freeman Delivers Best Performance of Season
Pleasant Grove was led to victory by Kaleb Freeman, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Freeman threw for 240 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 32 yards. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
The win (which was Pleasant Grove's seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Freeman and Pleasant Grove will head out on the road to face off against Bibb County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Justin Murray Leads Fairfield over Bibb County
On Friday, Fairfield got the W thanks in part to Justin Murray playing the best football he has all season. Murray rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 44 receiving yards.
Fairfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Murray and Fairfield will be playing at home against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tremell Washington Goes Supernova in Pleasant Grove Victory
Tremell Washington was instrumental in extending Pleasant Grove's winning streak to seven on Friday. Washington turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 146 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 31 yards.
On the year, Washington has caught 13 touchdowns while averaging 125.1 receiving yards per game.

Hamilton Posts Huge Game in 30-28 Win
The second Fairfield player making an appearance here is Jumaria Hamilton, and for good reason. He rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making six total tackles.
On the season, Hamilton has thrown 15 touchdowns while averaging 162 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to nine.

Pleasant Grove Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Collin Moore
Collin Moore's big game helped extend Pleasant Grove's winning streak to seven on Friday. West Blocton had no answer to Moore as he rushed for 198 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Moore's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season.
This season, Moore has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 148.4 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had seven rushing touchdowns.
