The Odyssey Charter School Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell just short of West Shore by a score of 33-31. That's two games in a row now that Odyssey Charter School has lost by exactly two points.
Odyssey Charter School's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Talyssa Hilaire, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, and Natalia DeJesus-Bruno who scored eight points along with five steals. DeJesus-Bruno has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Reese Florin, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Odyssey Charter School's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for West Shore, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.
Odyssey Charter School will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Merritt Island Christian is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. West Shore will take on the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
