Christel House can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home. They fell to Decatur Central 66-60. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Josiah Jackson, who earned ten points plus seven rebounds and two steals. What's more, he also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2023. David Brigham Jr was another key player, going 7 for 14 en route to 20 points plus five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Beech Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 62-38 to Greenfield-Central.
Despite the loss, Beech Grove saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bishop Moore earned 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyris Reid, who scored eight points.
