The San Saba Armadillos''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 40-35 victory over Goldthwaite. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Ethan Gonzales was his usual excellent self, rushing for 145 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
When it comes to explaining why Goldthwaite lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luke Sanderson. Despite the final result, he picked up 94 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in three touchdowns on the ground. Ethan Deeds was another key contributor, throwing for 105 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
San Saba's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Goldthwaite, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
