The Sunset Apollos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Jesuit on the road by a decisive 46-28 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sunset has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Sunset saw an underclassman step up: Ruby Foord scored eight points.
Sunset's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Jesuit, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
Sunset will be playing in front of their home fans against Aloha at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aloha is coming into the game with six straight losses on the road, meaning Sunset will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Jesuit, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Southridge at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Southridge is on a six-game streak of home wins, Jesuit a 17-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
