The Dunellen Destroyers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Perth Amboy Vo-Tech 51-28. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Dunellen has managed all season.
Dunellen found their leader in underclassman Wendy Woll, who scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Brielle Villanueva-Jadotte was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Dunellen and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Perth Amboy Vo-Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
Dunellen will be playing at home against Middlesex County Vo-Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Middlesex County Vo-Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Dunellen is ranked 147th). As for Perth Amboy Vo-Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against South Amboy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. South Amboy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
