Jackson has gone a perfect 3-0 against North Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Timberwolves will face off against the Jaguars at 10:00 a.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Jackson put up the most runs they have all season on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Cascade. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Allie Thomsen (2025-UW) made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

Kiana Holden (2025)
04/18/25 vs Cascade | 4 |
03/26/25 vs Meadowdale | 3 |
03/21/25 @ Monroe | 3 |
05/13/24 vs Redmond | 3 |
03/28/25 vs Arlington | 2 |
In other batting news, Kiana Holden (2025) was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mia Ediger (2026), who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
North Creek came out on top against Sammamish on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Jaguars' pitcher stepped up to hand the RedHawks a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won eight matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Jackey Boschee made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Boschee was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
In other batting news, Paige Geller and Emma Gochenour did most of the damage at the plate: Geller went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Gochenour went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Gochenour also put up a run, which was her first of the season. Cayle Key was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
With the victory, Jackson broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for North Creek, their record now sits at 15-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jackson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like North Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Jackson beat North Creek 3-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
