The Classical Magnet Gladiators will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Branford Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Branford took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Classical Magnet, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, everything went Classical Magnet's way against University as Classical Magnet made off with a 77-54 win. The win was just what Classical Magnet needed coming off of a 84-57 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Branford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 57-53 to Hamden. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Branford in their matchups with Hamden: they've now lost four in a row.
Classical Magnet pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Branford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
