Eastlake will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Helix at 4:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Eastlake were fully in charge last Thursday, breezing past Hilltop 62-6. The Eastlake offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the contest anyway.
Meanwhile, it could have been worse for Helix, but it could have been a whole lot better too, as the team fell 13-30 to Chula Vista last week.
Eastlake's win lifted them to 2-0 while Helix's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Eastlake can add another positive mark to their record or if Helix can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Eastlake's step.
