Clover has gone 8-2 against York recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blue Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Clover sitting on three straight wins and York on nine.

Last Tuesday, Clover earned a 9-5 victory over Fort Mill.

Meanwhile, York made easy work of South Pointe on Thursday and carried off an 18-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 13 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Peyton Brooks made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marisa Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Briley Comer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

York always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

York pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Clover, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Clover beat York 6-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will the Blue Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
