The North Royalton Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 34-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beaumont School. While losing is never fun, North Royalton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while Beaumont School is ranked 202nd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beaumont School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shannon Shea, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Goske, who scored ten points.
North Royalton bumped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Beaumont School, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Royalton will take on Solon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Beaumont School, they will head out on the road to challenge Trinity at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
