The J.H. Rose Rampants will head out on the road to face off against the North Brunswick Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (J.H. Rose is ranked 80th, while North Brunswick is ranked 91st).
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but J.H. Rose had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past White Oak 21-19. The win was just what J.H. Rose needed coming off of a 35-7 defeat in their prior game.
J.H. Rose can attribute much of their success to Jameer Roach, who gained 92 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, North Brunswick made off with a 28-27 win over Person. The win made it back-to-back wins for North Brunswick.
Tarron Green was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 20 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 191 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes. Chris Webb also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.
J.H. Rose's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for North Brunswick, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
