AAA Region III recap Sept. 26, 2012
Chester was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in AAA Region III.
Union County moved up to 35 from 62 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 35-28 win over Newberry helped the Yellowjackets improve their standing.
Broome's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Centurions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Corey Bennett has thrown for 157 yards this season, while Zach Gory has three catches for 65 yards. Cameron Dawkins leads the league in rushing with 517 yards.
There should be lots of points scored when Clinton and Broome face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Red Devils comes in having scored 60 this season, while the Centurions have scored 109. Clinton scored 22 points last week as it lost to Abbeville.
Woodruff took down Ninety Six 41-21 last week, the largest margin of any game.
