UME Preparatory Academy has struggled against Newman International Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why UME Preparatory Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is William Barnes. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Chapman, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
UME Preparatory Academy dropped their record down to 11-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Newman International Academy, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
