Noble Street College Prep came out on top against UIC College Prep on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Golden Tigers blew past the Firecats 12-1. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Tigers in their matchups with the Firecats: they've now won three in a row.
Ethan Gallegos was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and two stolen bases.
