Utah Military Academy - Hill Field extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 6-3. They came up short against the Intermountain Christian Lions, falling 15-5. The contest marked the Thunderbirds' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Ryan Wankier was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 12 times he's played. Braden Emmett also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
As for Intermountain Christian, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games.
On Intermountain Christian's side, Coy White made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. White was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs.
In other batting news, Intermountain Christian let Caleb Furze and Jonathan Doty run wild. Furze went 2-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Doty went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave Furze a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlie Erickson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
While Utah Military Academy - Hill Field had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
