The Alonso Ravens will head out on the road to  challenge  the Jefferson Dragons at 4:00  p.m.  in Monday's  first game. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

  Makenna Sturgis and  Sophia Gunnin did most of the damage at the plate:  Sturgis  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4, while  Gunnin  went 2-for-2 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alyssa Trapani, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Jefferson came tearing into  last Thursday's  game with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Yellow Jackets with a sharp  19-0 win. That looming  19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Jefferson yet this  season.
 Alonso pushed their record up to 11-2 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.6 runs per game. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
