After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Graves County, the Ballard Memorial Bombers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Carlisle County by a score of 62-54. This was a revenge contest for Ballard Memorial, as the team was forced to settle for a 62-61 defeat when these two played two weeks ago.
Carlisle County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Burnett, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Zack Grogan, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Ballard Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-13 record this season. As for Carlisle County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.
