The Pipestem Christian Academy Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Victory Baptist Academy Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Pipestem Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday.
Even though Elk Valley Christian scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Pipestem Christian Academy still came out on top. Pipestem Christian Academy took their matchup against Elk Valley Christian 69-58.
Silas Mattox was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 7 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Duke Testerman was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, Victory Baptist Academy didn't have too much trouble with Lewisburg Baptist Academy at home on Saturday as they won 54-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Victory Baptist Academy.
Victory Baptist Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Hunt, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Conaway, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Pipestem Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Victory Baptist Academy's record now sits at 15-8.
