Jacob Benbow put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Friday. He struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He was up against Southwest Guilford and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in April of 2024.

Benbow and Grimsley will square off against Page at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sadly, Benbow's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Whirlies' six-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Benbow and the Whirlies surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Tuesday's match.
