If the Ingalls Bulldogs were riding high off their 54-26 takedown of the Satanta Indians last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Ingalls took a serious blow against the Red Aces on Tuesday, falling 87-56. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ingalls in their matchups with the Red Aces: they've now lost seven in a row.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Layton Simon, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Lehman, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Ingalls dropped their record down to 6-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bucklin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ingalls is on the road again on Friday and plays the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Dighton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Kansas (the Hornets are ranked 82nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 260th). As for Bucklin, they will head out on the road to challenge the Longhorns at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
