Baseball Recap: Fairfield Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Fairfield barely beat Jackson-Olin the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Fairfield Tigers were the clear victor by a 17-1 margin over the Jackson-Olin Mustangs on Wednesday. Considering the Tigers have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Fairfield's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4. As for Jackson-Olin, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairfield will take on Carver Birmingham at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Carver Birmingham's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last eight games. As for Jackson-Olin, they will head out to challenge Parker at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson-Olin has given up an average of 14.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
