The Windthorst Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Decatur Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Windthorst is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Windthorst beat Tolar 47-37.
Decatur has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Ranchview 58-15 on the road. Given Decatur's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Ranchview is ranked 914th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Windthorst's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Decatur, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
Everything went Windthorst's way against Decatur in their previous meeting back in December of 2015 as Windthorst made off with a 47-27 win. Will Windthorst repeat their success, or does Decatur have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
