Keanu Escalante was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 100 yards and two scores. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season. Alan Benitez made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Another reason for the win was Forbush's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Tucker Durham was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Benitez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory got Forbush back to even at 1-1. As for Wheatmore, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Forbush will host Starmount at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheatmore, they will head out on the road to take on South Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
