The Nikiski Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 46-32 fall against Bettye Davis East Anchorage.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Avery Ellis, who scored eight points.
Nikiski's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Bettye Davis East Anchorage, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9.
Nikiski didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-46 loss vs. Eagle River on the 10th. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will be playing in front of their home fans against Soldotna at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alaska Rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Soldotna is ranked 35th).
