On Friday Round Mountain take on Pyramid Lake at Round Mountain HS at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
After soaring high against Indian Springs two weeks ago, Icarus fell to the ground last Friday. Round Mountain were completely outmatched, falling 8-44 to Eureka. Round Mountain's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Ashton Anderson, who picked up 64 yards on the ground and snatched 1 receiving TD.
Meanwhile, Pyramid Lake had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 52-38 win over McDermitt. The success made it back-to-back wins for Pyramid Lake.
Pyramid Lake's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Round Mountain's loss dropped them down to 1-3. We'll find out if Pyramid Lake can add another positive mark to their record or if Round Mountain can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Pyramid Lake's step.
