James Delacenserie and Talem Franco provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Park City. The connection was good for 75 yards, the longest such play in 3A Region 10 this season.
Juan Diego Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Judge Memorial, 30-7. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Soaring Eagles.
Wasatch's dynamic duo of Delacenserie and Franco proved tough for the Miners to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Delacenserie threw for 273 yards and four touchdowns and Franco had 165 yards receiving. Gavin Nebeker helped Wasatch's passing attack out by catching four balls for 75 yards.
Nic Smith was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 149 yards on 16 carries as Union topped Park City. Nielson Gavin also contributed to the rushing game with 112 yards on the ground.
Wasatch's Delacenserie and Nebeker have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 3A Region 10 in both passing and receiving yards. Delacenserie has thrown for 2535 yards this season, while Nebeker, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 46 catches for 867 yards. Gavin from the Cougars leads the league in rushing with 830 yards.
Steve Coburn's team took down Kai Smalley's team 49-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Delacenserie in the win.
