The Tolleson Wolverines will take on the Basha Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Basha took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Tolleson, who comes in off a win.
Tolleson proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Sunnyslope 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolverines have posted since March 6th.

ANTHONY RAMIREZ

03/27/25 vs Shadow Ridge | 1 |
ANTHONY RAMIREZ made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Tolleson is 4-1-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-7 otherwise. RAMIREZ was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on AMARI LUCAS, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was JOSE CORRALES, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Basha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to Casteel. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Basha saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Hamilton, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Tolleson has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Basha, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1.
Tolleson skirted past Basha 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
