The St. Joseph Regional Green Knights's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past Paramus Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 60-46. Given St. Joseph Regional's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Paramus Catholic is ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Joseph Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Pacciarelli, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaz Gray, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
St. Joseph Regional's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-4. As for Paramus Catholic, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
St. Joseph Regional will square off against Teaneck at TBD on Saturday. One thing working in Teaneck's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 14 matches. As for Paramus Catholic, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against DePaul Catholic at 7:00 p.m. DePaul Catholic is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
