Last Thursday, Linn County had to suffer through a rough 58-18 loss at the hands of Milan. While losing is never fun, Linn County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 495th, while Milan is ranked 218th).
Meanwhile, Madison's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their seventh straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Brashear, falling 55-14.
Linn County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Madison, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Linn County strolled past Madison in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 42-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Linn County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
