It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Taylorsville Tartars had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 36-0 win over Lumberton on the road. Winning may never get old, but Taylorsville sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Taylorsville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dre Keyes out in front who picked up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score.
Taylorsville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Lumberton, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-5.
Taylorsville will face off against Simmons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Simmons is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Lumberton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
