The Bay City Blackcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 63-55 to Columbia. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Bay City still got an impressive performance from Alex Estrada, who scored 15 points. Carlon Jones was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Bay City has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Columbia, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
Bay City will head out on the road to face off against Sweeny at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sweeny has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Columbia, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against La Marque at 7:00 p.m. La Marque is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
