Concord Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Pittsfield Panthers with a sharp 15-1 win on Monday. The Kingsmen not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 6, 2024.
TJ Charbono made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Charbono was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Daniel Stopyro and Jackson Barton did most of the damage at the plate: Stopyro scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Barton scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
