Basketball Recap: Angola Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Angola, but Bailey Holman wouldn't allow it. The Angola Hornets came out on top against the Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets by a score of 64-51 on Saturday thanks in part to Holman, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards. Those 29 points gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Lexi Stilman, who almost dropped a double-double on nine boards and nine assists. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Alivia Bolinger, who posted 16 points. Cella Kaiser was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Angola and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Angola wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-43 win against Concord on the 18th. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-31 victory against Garrett on the 19th.
