The Chapel Hill Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Walker with a sharp 66-41 victory on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for Chapel Hill who now have three in a row.
Despite the loss, Walker saw an underclassman step up: Moustapha Diop dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Diop is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Carey, who scored 13 points.
Chapel Hill is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Walker, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Chapel Hill and Osborne will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Osborne is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. Walker is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Peachtree Ridge at 10:30 a.m. on December 27th.
