After two weeks on the road, West Platte is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Plattsburg at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
There's no need to mince words: West Platte lost to Mid-Buchanan last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 8-46. A silver lining for West Platte was the play of senior Noah Johnson, who picked up 90 yards on the ground and accumulated 119 passing yards. In fact, with 13 tackles Johnson was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Plattsburg, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-39 to Lathrop.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
