The Brentwood Bruins entered their tilt with the Father Ryan Irish with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Brentwood managed a 37-33 victory over Father Ryan on Friday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Brentwood has scored all season.
Brentwood was led to victory by Paige Morris and Ella Ryan. Morris scored ten points, while Ryan scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Ryan has scored at least 25% of Brentwood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Halstead, who scored six points.
Brentwood's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Father Ryan, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-1.
Brentwood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Park Crossing at 2:30 p.m. on December 30th. Park Crossing will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Father Ryan's road trip will continue as they head out to face Brentwood Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Brentwood Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Father Ryan is ranked 31st).
