Blue River Valley is 0-4 against Centerville since May of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Vikings will welcome the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Blue River Valley barely beat Seton Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 13-4 win on Tuesday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

RYLAN KRAUS made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, Blue River Valley got a massive performance out of EVAN ZENTZ, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was KYLER KECK, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Blue River Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seton Catholic struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Centerville brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against Union City on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-4 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Like Blue River Valley, Centerville also got a great game from a two-way player: Landen Schlotterbeck. Throwing, Schlotterbeck struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Nick Tinkle struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Schlotterbeck has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Schlotterbeck went 1-for-3 with one run and one double, while Tinkle earned two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Clark, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Aiden Nelson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Blue River Valley picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 8-5. As for Centerville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
