The Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tamalpais is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
St. Vincent de Paul's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Tamalpais hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Tamalpais didn't even let Novato on the board on Tuesday, marking Tamalpais' second-straight 7-0 shutout. Considering the Red Tailed Hawks have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ava Lee made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Annica Harris was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Delphine McGrane, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Tamalpais hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Novato struck out 13 times.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, St. Vincent de Paul was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to Cloverdale. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
St. Vincent de Paul saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Murphy, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Tamalpais' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for St. Vincent de Paul, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
