There's no place like home for Broughton, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders out  9-7.  On Cardinal Gibbons' side,  Mallory Kelly made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Kelly has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Becca Jordan, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Cardinal Gibbons  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
 Broughton's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Broughton will take on Enloe at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Athens Drive at 4:00  p.m.
