The Mountain View Lobos posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-29 victory over Clint on the road. The victory was nothing new for Mountain View as they're now sitting on three straight.
Leading Mountain View to victory were Devin Gonzalez and Julian Escobedo. Gonzalez dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Escobedo scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Gonzalez pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matthew Slosar, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Clint, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will take on Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clint, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against San Elizario at 6:00 p.m. San Elizario and Clint are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
