It was a good run, but the Riverview Sharks unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Robinson by a score of 53-50. Riverview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Robinson apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Several Sharks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Yasmin Johnson, who scored 10 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy McCormick, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
Ava Godfrey was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with 7 assists and 5 steals for Robinson. The match was Godfrey's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Jennie Gutman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Riverview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Robinson, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Allowing an average of 51.8 points per game, Gaither has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game.
