The Leigh Longhorns won the last time they faced the Oak Grove Eagles, and things went their way on Monday too. Leigh took down Oak Grove 61-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Leigh.
It was another big night for Caleb Asante, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Smith, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Leigh's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Oak Grove, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leigh will take on Christopher at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Christopher knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Leigh likes a good challenge. As for Oak Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Evergreen Valley at 7:00 p.m. Evergreen Valley is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
