The Lamar Tigers on the road again on Friday and play against the McDonald County Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
Last Tuesday, Lamar ended up a good deal behind Neosho and lost 69-53. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lamar in their matchups with Neosho: they've now lost five in a row.
McDonald County fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They secured a 52-48 W over Cassville on Tuesday.
Lamar now has a losing record at 2-3. As for McDonald County, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Lamar came up short against McDonald County in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 43-37. Can Lamar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
