The Vacaville Christian Falcons will head out to challenge the Lindhurst Blazers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Vacaville Christian has four straight wins, Lindhurst has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Wednesday, Vacaville Christian made easy work of Mesa Verde and carried off a 3-0 victory.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Vacaville Christian was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-6, 25-10.
Vacaville Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bella Linton out in front who had 11 assists and five aces. With that strong performance, Linton is now averaging an impressive 2.3 aces per game. Elena Vizcay was another key player, getting ten digs and two assists.
They weren't the only good server: Vacaville Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 27 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Meanwhile, Lindhurst came up short against Woodland Christian on Wednesday, falling 3-0.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-13.
Lindhurst's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Vacaville Christian, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Vacaville Christian took their win against Lindhurst when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Blazers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
