Micah Kennedy was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Miyani Marshall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Madison Chapman, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
