It was a good run, but  Dyersburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to the Crockett County Cavaliers on the road  by a   42-28 margin. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2020.
  Dk Woods was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 210 yards and four  touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry for Crockett County. Woods really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 70-yard run. Another player making a difference was  Ben Burgess, who rushed for 57 yards and one  TD on only eight carries.
Dyersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Crockett County, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming  games. After each having a week off, Dyersburg and Covington will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Chargers have now posted at least 31  points  every time they've taken the field this season. As for Crockett County, they will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Gibson at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th.
